Fuel Up to Play 60 at Halas Hall Home of the Bears

Shakespeare once stated, "The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool."  In the light of Shakespeare, I merely wish to serve as one of many physical educators and other professionals that promote movement and healthy lifestyles.

In a society with an ever increasing level of inactivity and related illnesses, which are often connected with many wonderful technological advances, it is essential to find a way to remain healthy in an overall perspective.  This focuses on the biological changes within the body, psychological affects on the individual, and the individual's interaction with a growing society.  Combined, these three fundamental concepts, in regards to a human being, create a theory called the biopsychosocial concept.  Based on the biopsychosocial concept physical education aims to increase an overall perception of healthy lifestyles through movement and cooperation.

PE Scholars exists to help enlighten the students, parents, physical educators, and everyone else who is interested in physical education and it's objectives.  The intention of this website is to give an in-depth perspective on what, why, and how physical education is taught at Daniel Boone School.  Hopefully, PE Scholars can be a resource and helpful tool to the students, parents, physical educators, and others alike, as it is firmly believed that a healthy lifestyle rests within the wisdom and knowledge shared within society and all of it's members.  Thus, feel free to contact me through email, phone, or mail, in regards to any matters.

Best Regards,

Kim Anehall, M.Ed., CSCS, CFS, TSAC Facilitator
Boone Elementary School's Health & Wellness Champion, Physical Education Leadership Team member (PELT), Team Nutrition Leader, Cross Country Head Coach
