STUDENT EXPECTATIONS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

The expectations are a set of rules that I use in the classroom, which should promote a safe and rigorous learning environment for all students. The expectations also support social responsibility within the classroom as the student develops well guided team working skills, which are essential for future success in the classroom and throughout life in both professional and leisure activity. It is expected that all students should learn these rules, as they are an integral part of their self-assessment. For kindergarten and first grade these rules are modified in order for them to comprehend the rules, as they will focus more on the skills necessary for learning in a social setting (see below in the Student Expectations). These rules are continuously used in the classroom by the students who also have access to them on a poster located in the gymnasium.
