SPEEDBALL

Description:

It is a combination between football and basketball where the object of the game is to throw the ball to a scorer inside a designated area.   When the scorer catches the ball the team receives one point for the score.  The person who throw the ball to the scorer becomes the new scorer.

The ball starts behind the baseline of the basketball baseline while the opposing team mustbe behind the halfcourt line and the opposing team cannot interfere with the first catch of the team who has the ball. After the ball is caught all students can move freely throughout the basketball court to intercept or knock the ball down.

If the ball at any time is dropped, intercepted, scored, travelled with, or knocked down by the opposing team, the team that does not have the ball get a turn to start behind their baseline with the same rules.

It is a rapid game that does not allow the ny physical contact like in basketball and the only way of moving the ball from one side of the court to the other is passing.

Have fun!!!
